48 Kinder und Erwachsene machten sich am Staatsfeiertag, dem 26. Oktober, auf den Weg nach Südtirol. Der Himmel hat uns mit dem schönsten Herbstwetter beschenkt. Wir konnten die ganze Farbenpracht dieser Jahreszeit und die milde Herbstsonne genießen. Das erste Ziel unserer Pfarrfamilienfahrt war das Stift Marienberg im Oberen Vintschgau, die höchst gelegene Benediktineraktei Europas auf 1350 m Seehöhe.
Nach einem Halt am Reschensee, wo wir das Bergpanorama in der herrlichen Morgensonne bewundern konnten, wurden wir vom Benediktinermönch P. Pius Rabensteiner herzlich empfangen. Zuerst führte er uns in die Krypta der Abteikirche und erklärte uns die einzigartigen romanischen Engeldarstellungen.
Dann feierten wir als Höhepunkt des Tages miteinander die heilige Eucharistie. Nach der Messe beantwortete P. Pius in überzeugender Weise verschiedene Fragen, die die mönchische und benediktinische Berufung betreffen.
Nach Museumsbesuch und kleiner Pause ging es weiter zum Mittagessen in die Schlossbar in Burgeis, wo uns ein preisgünstiges und schmackhaftes Mittagessen in familiärer Atmosphäre erwartete. Dann ging es weiter nach Glurns, der kleinsten Stadt Südtirols. Eine Stadtführerin erklärte uns die bewegte Geschichte dieses Städtchens. Nach einem Stadtbummel für Groß und Klein ging es wieder zurück nach Feldkirch. Erfüllt mit vielen schönen Eindrücken, gestärkt durch gemeinsames Gebet und gute Gespräche und mit Freude im Herzen kehrten wir nach Gisingen zurück.
